Baosheng Group was established in 1985, which is a large-scale state-owned enterprise that is specialized in producing wires, cables, cable materials, transformers, switch cabinet sand other electric products. Baosheng Group has been listed in top 500 Enterprises of China, top 500 Enterprises in Chinese Manufacturing Industry, top 100 in Chinese Machinery Industry, top 100 Enterprises in Jiangsu. It is also the only cable enterprise that owns all the three plates of “Well-known Trademark of China”, “Name-brand Product of China”, “National Inspection-free Product”. In addition, it is awarded with “National May Day Certificate of Merit” as well as the title of “National Contract and Credit Honorable Enterprise”, and it also has a national enterprise technology center and a post-doctorate academic research work station. In 2007, the production and sales amount of Baosheng Group reached 8,012 billion RMB. At present, Baosheng Group has a staff of nearly 3000 employees and occupies the land as large as 3000 mu. Its total asset reaches 4 billion RMB. It has become the largest and most competitive cable manufacturer in China.
Baosheng Group launches the autonomous science and technology innovation with painstaking effort and formed a series of enterprise self-owned core manufacturing technologies. Specifically speaking, 70 products filled in the domestic vacancies, and 40 products were evaluated as the “National New Product”. It also achieved 90 national patented technologies, participated in drafting and compiling 25 national and industry standards and obtained more than 300 provincial and ministry-level achievements of academic research. Baosheng also has successively passed the authentifications organized by the domestic and foreign authoritative organizations for ISO9001quality system, ISO14001 environment system, ISO10012 measurement system.
Baosheng Group has established a sales network covering the whole country. There are 60 sales service centers in China and more than 300 sales engineers work there to provide professional services for our customers. Baosheng products have been used in a lot of key construction projects both at home and abroad, including the maintenance work of Tiananmen Square,? improvement project of Chairman Mao’s Memorial Hall, Capital Airport, National Stadium for Beijing Olympic Games (also known as the Bird’s Nest), National Grand Theater, New Office Building of CCTV, Three Gorges Project, Shanghai Yangshangang Bridge, Shanghai Magnetic Suspension Railroad, Jiangyin Yangtze Bridge, Qingzang Railway, Ling’ao Nuclear Power Plant, Formosa Plastics Corporation, Bao Steel Group and other key construction works in South America, Middle-east, South-east Asia and so on, and these products gained the unanimous trust of our customers.
In 1999, Baosheng established a joint venture with the Italian company Pirelli , the world largest cable manufacturer, to produce the medium-voltage, high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage crosslinked polyethylene insulated cable. On August, 2nd, 2004, 45,000,000 shares of the stock of Baosheng Science & Technology Innovation Inc. were officially issued and listed on the market (the stock is abbreviated as “Baosheng Cable”, and the stock number is “600973”). In August, 2005, Baosheng Group founded and established “Jiangsu Baosheng Electric Co., Ltd, which is expected to be the second Baosheng company of being on the market.
In 2003, by adopting the development idea characterized with “modernization, internationalization and ecology-priority”, Baosheng Group planned a piece of land of 1000mu to initiate the construction of “Baosheng Cable City”, whose general plan and basic construction have almost completed up to now. The newly-built standard workshops and the relevant supporting buildings occupy 200,000Sqm, and 10 projects come to this park to put into production. Thus, the project construction cycle has been effectively shortened. Meanwhile, we have also reserved the broad development space in advance so as to further enhance the enterprise’s sustainable development potential.
Looking ahead, Baosheng Group will continually endeavor to carry out its five great strategies of “marketing, science & technology, talents, brand and capital”.
